The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Unable to ping Virtual Interface

There is a virtual interface eth0:1 configured on box A with ip 192.168.0.110, netmask ff.ff.ff.0 and the interface eth0 is on ip 192.168.1.113.

The ping is from  box B with ip 192.168.0.1 on interface eth1 is going through.

The link from box A eth0:1 and box B eth1 is connected to a switch on the same vlan with IP 192.168.0.30.

On box A there is route for network 192.168.0.0 through dev eth1, please routing table below

netstat -rn
Kernel IP routing table
Destination     Gateway         Genmask         Flags   MSS Window  irtt Iface
192.168.1.0     0.0.0.0         255.255.255.0   U         0 0          0 bond0
192.168.0.0     192.168.0.1     255.255.255.0   UG        0 0          0 eth1
0.0.0.0         192.168.1.1     0.0.0.0         UG        0 0          0 bond0

bond0 is not attached to eth0 on box A

The tcpdump on the box the boxes say something on ICMP echo id

What is wrong in my config?
