The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Network traffic monitoring

Hello all!
I have kind of an open question which might not have an exact answer but here goes anyway... He have a pretty simple network, 9 server (Dc's, DHCP, DNS, Fileservers, etc...) and about 170 PC's all on single subnet (gb switch). Our Oracle stuff (ERP) is hosted off site and is connected via a point-to-point T1 which has its own dedicated router. We keep having these extreme periods of slowness when running plans or actually doing anything in our Oracle web based forms...? The 3rd party hosting company keeps telling me its my network causing the issues, however we have no problem with anything internally. I would like to know how i can prove its not my network..? It really doesnt even make sense that it is a network issue, it seems more like a server resource issue on there end. I am a network guy (jr.) and not a DB guy so maybe there is something i am missing. Is there a good way to pull stats off my Cisco router or some free software that will aid in illustrating my network traffic or even what stats I should be looking at? The latency internal is always less then 1ms and around 45ms to or DB servers. Our firewall reports less then 70000kb (in & out) going down the p2p at our highest usage hour. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!!!
