We recently added an HP Procurve 2650 to one of our sites, here is what is occurring and basic configuration:
1. From the 2650, you can ping 10.221.75.2 (DSL router).
2. From the 2650, you can ping 10.221.28.2 (ProCurve 2650 switch on outside segment)
3. From the 2650, you can ping 65.160.xxx.xxx addresses on the Internet (via the DSL router)
4. From a workstation connected to the 2650, you cant ping 10.221.75.2
5. From a workstation connected to the 2650, you can ping 10.221.28.2 (ProCurve 2650 router on outside segment)
6. From a workstation connected to the 2650, you cant ping 65.160.xxx.xxx addresses on the Internet (via the DSL router)
Question:
1. Why cant I ping either the DSL router (10.221.75.2) or an Internet web site (65.160.xxx.xxx) from the workstation?
Workstation configuration:
IP Address: 10.221.70.10
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 10.221.70.2
Running configuration:

; ProCurve Switch 2650
ip routing
vlan 1
name "DEFAULT_VLAN"
untagged 3-50
ip address 10.221.70.2 255.255.255.0
tagged 1-2
exit
vlan 2
name "DSL"
untagged 1-2
ip address 10.221.75.1 255.255.255.0
exit
ip route 10.221.28.0 255.255.255.0 10.221.70.5
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.221.75.2
I'm fairly new to ProCurve switch configuration so any input will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eli
