Calculate microseconds to sleep using target kbps

I am trying to calculate how many microseconds to sleep to get to a cetrain kbps on a data connection. I need to be able to use a variable for the packet size, and target kbps, and then it should spit out the number of microseconds to sleep in between each packet. I have had a lot of trouble calculating this percisely so I am awarding 500 points for this one.
