When Battlefield 2142 is left minimized for a while, its ram usage goes down. Can I force that to happen more quickly?

I run a little script thjat requires I have several instances of Battlefield 2142 open. I start the script, it starts opening copies of the game. At first it does fine, continuing along opening instances. Eventually the system runs out of ram and things slow down.

When an instance of Battlefield 2142 is minimized its ram usage is around 130 megs. The ram usage will continue to stay the same until I launch another set of Battlefield 2142 instances. So if I minimized it and left it for 6 hours, 6 hours later its ram usage would still be roughly the same. But if I put a bunch of instances up, then I start up another batch (so 12 instances in the first batch, 12 instances inthe second) the memory usage of teh executables on the first can drop down as low as 1 meg per.

My question is: Is there any way to force that to happen more quickly? Also, is there any way I can limit how much ram a program gets without using the hepasize command line for BF2142 (tried that, and it did nothing beneficial).

Thanks! :)Start Free Trial
