NetMeeting on Vista

Hi
I have just upgraded to Windows Vista from XP Professional.

Everyone else in my company uses NetMeeting to share documents, desktop etc...  Is NetMeeting available in Vista.

NetMeeting is no longer included with Windows Vista, and has been replaced by Windows Meeting Space and Microsoft Office Live Meeting. However, NetMeeting can still be installed and run on Windows Vista

You will need Netmeeting 3.02 downloadable from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=26c9da7c-f778-4422-a6f4-efb8abba021e&DisplayLang=en

After downloading, run the installation in compatibility mode for Windows NT4.0 Sp5.

BTW, Netmeeting doesn't work with Vista Home edition.

Thanks for the quick response.  I have looked at the site that you provided and tried to download.  Unfortunately the message appeared - "This version of Net Meeting cannot be installed on this version of Windows".

In you message, you mentioned NetMeeting 3.02, however the link downloaded 3.01 - could that be the issue?

Also, could you let me know if Windows Meetings Space is backward compatiable with Netmeeting.

(P.S.  I am using Windows Vista Enterprise).

Yes, The link is for ver 3.01 and you need 3.02.

Apparently, Its available from MS only as a hotfix. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927853)

Windows Meeting Space is not compatible with Netmeeting.
