I have a broadband connection and i use yahoo messenger for video conferencing.The problem is that it is not working properly with one user from my contact list.I can see user x with an acceptable frame rate but he can't see me better than a frame every few minutes.I can see user y in supermode and he sees me as well as i do.user x and y can see each other in supermode.this problem is quite new and it wasn't like this a couple of months ago.
So:
me and user x=bad
me and user y=supermode
x and y=supermode
I encounter this problem in every messenger i try.
I use a linksys router, i even tried without the router and without the router the streaming starts in supermode but it just says so because the image doesn't change at all.

what type of bandwidth do all 3 of you have?
what type of routers do all 3 of you have?
What type of firewalls do all 3 of you have?
Yahoo messenger is very strict on router and firewalls. Very often supermode isn't available. And the webcam are very dependant on the yahoo servers. You both can be on T1's, and if the yahoo server is overloaded, your frame rate will suffer.
as far as the web cam freezing, i've had that issue with a couple people, but everyone else it works fine. It's really dependant on the router and firewalls. Even with these problems, the webcam works better than AIM's webcam.
the best streaming webcam is MSN, although the size of the webcam display is smaller, the frame rate is much better.

Okie. Either could it be the problem from your side or X side. Guess we can eliminate Y . Most of the cases this can be attributed to "Both Sides Firewalls or Nat Devices". In Particular Yahoo Super mode doesnt work properly when both clients are behind nat/fw sides. So you may not be able to connect to Super Mode.
