Here is my environment:
We have a Tandberg Gatekeeper in our office that is connected to a Tandberg Boarder Controller in our COLO. With this setup we have Tandberg endpoints in our office registered with the gatekeeper. Remote workers are registered to the Boarder Controller. Since the Boarder Controller and Gatekeeper are talking, all E164 aliases are shared, so I can dial from our office to a remote user seamlessly (like everyone was local).
We want to integrate NetMeeting with this environment for remote workers. We have been able to do this with internal workers registered to the gatekeeper just fine. So video calls can be made from:
Endpoint (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper)
Netmeeting (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper)
Netmeeting (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (externally registered to Tandberg boarder controller)
Endpoint (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (externally registered to Tandberg boarder controller)
Endpoint (externally registered to Tandberg boarder controller) --> Endpoint (externally registered to Tandberg boarder controller)
There is no way right now to register Netmeeting with the Tandberg Boarder Controller (per Tandberg H323 documentation). Our thought is to set another 3rd party gatekeeper (we don't want to buy another Tandberg Gatekeeper) at our COLO next to the Tandberg Boarder controller and have the two talk (register with each other) as well. This way we can register Netmeeting with our external 3rd party gatekeeper and it can talk with endpoints registered with our Tandberg boarder controller and internal Tandberg gatekeeper. This way we can have video calls made from:
Netmeeting (externally registered to 3rd party gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (externally registered to Tandberg boarder controller)
Netmeeting (externally registered to 3rd party gatekeeper) --> Endpoint (internally registered to Tandberg gatekeeper)
We were thinking of using MS ISA Server 2004 to complete this (since we already have a license). Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this or know of any other product that can easily accomplish what we are looking for?
