Any reason why you don't given him VPN access and have him use Remote Desktop? It's free and performs better than either of the other products.

We just ditched webex after 3 years for gotomeeting. With webex, when controlling a customers server, we found it takes 2-3 seconds for the screen to come back, whereas we tried a couple of gotomeeting sessions and its usually within 1 second, almost as quick as a vpn rdp session.
Webex are a market gorilla - expensive and arrogant. Goto meeting is much cheaper, but their support offering is worse with 30 mins call queue sometimes, and their customer service well I don't think they even read your emails (I dont think they can read english actually) ! Webex support is better for getting through, but they will almost always blame meeting problems on your network even when its obvious its their end.
If the demo's and training are off your server then you could use vnc to screen share between her vpn connection and your desktop ?

Mostly I find it to be a matter of preference. Try them both out and see which one you like or ask consultant which one he/she would perfer to use.
