The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

GroupWise - Nickname + GroupWise reports as DMN: Recipient unknown:

Hidee ho my fellow experts!

I have an issue on one of the Netware servers which is baffling me.

We have a setup here which works like so:

Novell NetWare 6
Support Pack Revision 05
(C) Copyright 1983-2003 Novell Inc. All Rights Reserved. Patent Pending.
Server Version 5.60.05 May 27, 2004
Novell eDirectory Version 8.6.2 SMP
NDS Version 10350.30  15 December 2003
Server License: Novell NetWare 6 Server 600 SN:301289963
User Licenses: Novell NetWare 6 NSBS User 600 (Hard Stop)

3 sites have this version of Novell + GroupWise 6.0.4

They are set up to pass emails from Site 1, to Site 2 & Site 3 via the the Post Offices and MTA, they have a VPN between the both.

A user at Site 2 has recently renamed herself in eDirectory from 'Jane' to JaneJR (shes site admin).

The user set up a NickName from her username, for example:

JaneJR@domain.com now has an NickName of Jane@domain.com to catch all her emails going to her old address.

Obviously, the reason I am asking you guys, is because GroupWise Internet at Site1 (Main site - which is MX record for all emails) is reporting this as:
DMN: Recipient unknown: Jane@domain.com

Each user is set up so that the GroupWise user has System Visibility and normally, the emails get to the correct post office.
Does anyone have a clue why Jane@ is not being recognised by the system as a an address to route to?

Appreciate your help.
I'm going to reboot the server tonight, to see if that solves anything.Start Free Trial
