Sudden Flakiness with BES Express

Asked by networkn in Blackberry Operating System, Novell Groupwise

Hi There!

We have been installing BES Express for Groupwise for clients for around 6 months. They have been working fine mostly with just the need for an occasional restart if they stall. However in the last fortnight one of my sites has stalled on average once every 3-4 days, refusing to deliver new mail for 1 of the 3 users on the system.

My questions:

1) There are about 7 services, could someone explain in plain english what function each service performs?
2) Is it ok for those services to be using a "local system" ?
3) There are log files for each day in a folder, but there are like 15 log files in there, which one would I look to for troubleshooting the system, if messages are not being pushed to the Blackberries for 1 user or for all users?
4) Is there a command for restarting all the services at once?
5) Has BES Express for GroupWise been discontinued?
5) Does BES Express take normal BES CALS just have a limitation on the number of licenses?
