I have been trying for some time now to troubleshoot an issue that my orginization is have reading emails from one of our customer. In a nutshell if we send them and email in HTML and they try to reply in HTML it seems like the message is not being either encoded or decoded incorrectly. I can take what does com in and copy it into a BASE64 decoder and then I can read the email (obviusly this is not acceptable to my management team). The customer is using Novell 6.5. I have found on a Novell forum a posting by a guy that stats the issue is with a lazy Exchange administror who installed Exchange to only accept 7BitMIME. I do not believe that I am lazt but it is possible that I left something on (or off) by default.
I have tried to search other forums for a way to tell if I am only accepting 7bitMIME but all I could find where ways of disabling 8bitMIME. Is there a way to find out??? Also is someone else has encountered this issue and has another sugestion I would love to hear from you.
