  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Problem using Domino Web Access Redirect & DWALogin Form

Hello,
I have domain name for my website and sub-domain for e-mails i.e.
Website (Domain): abc.com
E-mail (Sub-Domain): mail.abc.com (both are the in the same box with same IP address)

I would like users to be able to check e-mail via POP3 and Web.  POP3 is working fine.  Having some problem with the webmail (I am using iNotes).  I just setup a iwaredir.nsf database.  If I add this database name in the address bar, it works fine but doesn't come up when users use mail.abc.com.  here's what I have done:

Setup a Web redirect database using IWAREDIR.NTF template.
Under Server Settings => Fixed, I added http://mail.abc.com
My box (Win2k3) name is xyz-1

I also want to use a portal view in which users actually goto a page where they can enter their name & Password to enter into their mail file (instead of going right into the user ID & password prompt), I setup portal views that comes with domino.

Not sure how to enable Personal Options for users to display Domino Web Access in portal views however, I added the following NOTES.INI variables:

iNotes_WA_PortalLogout=1
iNotes_WA_PortalOffline=1

When I enter "mail.abc.com", it goes to the mail web site "abc.com" but if i use the databse name, then it asks for the usr id and passcode and get's me to the right mailbox.

I also setup DOMCFG.NSF for the DWALoginForm
Setup Mapping by
Applies to: specific website/virtual server
Web Server/Virtual Server: mail.abc.com
Target Database to my Domino Web Access Redirect database: IWAREDIR.nsf
Changed the Target Form to DWALoginForm.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
