The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Lotus Domino Server-NOTES.INI problem

We are using Lotus Domino7 on Windows 2003 platform. We have some lotus notes database applications running on lotus domino. The access to these applications are controlled by NSF file's ACL to the users in our domino directory.
Problem: After restarting the Lotus Domino Server (i.e, restarting the windows 2003 server on which Lotus Domino is installed), when we try to access the Lotus Notes applications its giving 'server access denied' message and not allowing to open the application(NSF database). Even from administrator login, this access is denied.
Temporary solution: Currently for overcoming this problem, whenever we restart the server, we copy the NOTES.INI file which is there with us in our backup, which is taken just after the Lotus Domino installation. After copying this NOTES.INI backup file , problem is getting resolved.
Observation: The above things shows that when we restart the server, NOTES.INI file is getting changed /Corrupted. That's why its denying the access to the application databses.Please note that mail databases are accessible always. Problem is with only application databases(NSF files).

Request: We request you to advise a permanent solution to resolve the above mentioned NOTES.INI problem.
