The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Can't receive e-mail.  Sender is getting a delivery failure "554 Relay rejected for policy reasons"

Primary server: Domino 7.0.2FP1 on Linux Redhat 4 Update 4
Failover server: Domino 7.0.2 on Windows 2003

I can send an e-mail from webmail (dwa)
I can send e-mail using outlook (pop3)

But i cannot receive an e-mail and the sender is getting the following message:
554 Relay rejected for policy reasons
or
Permanent Failure: 554_Relay_rejected_for_policy_reasons

(e-mail is being sent to ruby.com.pk domain which is being hosted on above two domino servers)

I am not able to send an e-mail from anywhere (yahoo.com, ibm.com etc) to this domain (ruby.com.pk).  However, I have two other domains on the same domino servers with the exact same settings that are running fine without any problem.  I can receive e-mail fine for those two domains.

sssconsulting.net      -> Registered at godaddy.com
thesheikhs.net      -> Registered at yahoo.com

Problem domain:
ruby.com.pk            -> Registered at pknic.com

Here are the settings i have for ruby.com.pk at the registrar's website:

In Domino server, I have the smtp, pop3 & web authentication documents for all the domains with exact same settings.

In configuration document:
Allow messages only from the following internet hosts to be sent to external internet domains:
sssconsulting.net
thesheikhs.net
ruby.com.pk

Inbound Sender control:
Verify sender's domain in DNS: Enabled
