  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Outlook 2000 Server

Hi all

I would like to use my PC at home as an Email/ file server. Basically I would leave it running and if I was in work or elsewhere and needed a file of my PC at home... I would just fire off an email to home PC and include in body text request "CommandGet filelist". Get would be command and filelist would be just the master list of files I have on PC.

I need rule / code that looks for emails with the CommandGet command then executes the sub command after it ie "filelist"

It then fires back email to sender attaching the filelist file (Presume from a preset folder on PC).

Next stage is for the user to ask for a fileNo ie CommandGet 222, send back email with file 222 attached to email.

I am just guessing at the CommandGet am open to ideas, also would prob need a wee VB program to compile the files in the preset folder into a wee text file...but will ask the vb lot that question!!!
