Problem with Outlook and Virus e-mail

I have some clients that are getting e-mails that had viruses attached. These email attachments were quarantined at the exchange server and replaced with a file called alert.txt.

The issue is that the e-mail can't be deleted in outlook. It says "Unknown error" I know that virus didn't get through. but I can't move, delete or copy the message.

I even disabled the local Virus scan and get the same error?
