The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219) SP-2 Meesages Stuck in Outbox

Asked by Torriatte in Outlook Groupware Software

Tags: returned, outlook, messaging

Hi Folks,

Have a user running Windows 2000 Pro and Outlook 2002. She created an email that was going to a user with an AOL address and cc'ing to a VP here.

She got the wrong AOL address (invalid) so the email never goes to that person but it cc's to the VP (so far 398 times...). It STAYS in the Outbox and keeps trying. We tried to Delete the email message (there are two of these in the Outbox) and it tells us it can't because ARCHIVE.PST is at its' max size. So I go into it and try to take the VP off of the cc line and then X out and get the same error. So I started playing around and trying different stuff. I changed the AOL address to mine, removed the cc address and hit Send and I am returned to the Outbox, the email has my address only in it and it tries and tries to go (and I think that is REALLY strange; it won't let me Save the darned thing when I was doing the X after the change, but hitting Send DOES do some kind of save fine since my email address gets in there...). And I get tons of copies from here but it never gets done and out of her Outbox. We've exited Outlook, rebooted, etc. with no luck.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on or how to reslove this ?

Thanks !

Chuck
