Address list will not display

I recently did a complete wipe and re-install of windows xp. I am using Office 2002. I backup up my outlook db file so I could restore my old emails, contacts, etc. After reinstalling everything, I put the db file in the appropriate folder, and as expected, all my old emails and contacts now show up in outlook. One problem, though. When I create a new email, and click the "To" field (which normally loads up the list of contacts), it gives this error message: "The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Outlook Help."

Now, I am pretty confused as to the connection between my "Contacts" and "Address Books", and all that stuff. I just want to be able to quickly select a contact when I write an email. Thanks for your help!
