Accessing Custom Properties in VBA

The following code gets the current custom contact form and opens a Word template. The next step is to fill the fields on the Word document. The first field (InvoiceName) works fine as the source is a built in property but the next line is trying to pull information form the custom property InvoiceP and I get a 'Object doen not support this property or method'.

How can I access custome properties!?!

    Set m_objItem = GetCurrentItem()
   
    If m_objItem.Class = olContact Then
        Set m_objDoc = GetWordDoc("pmhcs invoice.dot")
       
        m_objDoc.FormFields("InvoiceName").Result = m_objItem.FullName

        m_objDoc.FormFields("InvoiceNumber").Result = m_objItem.InvoiceP
       
    End If
   
    Set m_objItem = Nothing
    Set m_objDoc = Nothing

you can try

Sub AddCustDocProp()
  m_objDoc.CustomDocumentProperties.Add Name:="Chapter", LinkToContent:=False, Value:="Nr 9", Type:=msoPropertyTypeString
End Sub

in word open the vba editor with ALT+F11 | then use this code and push the F1 for more help on the custom doc props in vba

Solved with the addition of

Set objMyItems = m_objItem.ItemProperties

and then added this line to collect the information form the custom properties

m_objDoc.Bookmarks("InvoiceNumber").Range.InsertAfter objMyItems("InvoiceP")
