Browse All TopicsI recently wiped out my laptop (Dell C610) and reinstalled everything... XP Pro w/SP2, Office 2003 w/SP1. I'm using Outlook to connect to an Exchange 2000 server and everything works fine unless I dock the laptop in the port replicator. Whenever the laptop is docked, I can not get free/busy information for calendars on the exchange server. As best I can tell, the only thing that works differently when docked or undocked is the calendar... everything else is fine.
Clicking Tools > Options > Calendar Options > Resource Scheduling generates this error:
"The operation failed due to a registry or installation problem. Restart Outlook and try again. If the problem persists, please reinstall"
I've tried enabling and disabling the firewall (its currently disabled) and I've reinstalled Office and SP2 but nothing has helped yet. Any suggestions?

Finally resolved the problem. When the laptop is undocked, it uses DHCP but has a static ip when docked. I left off the DNS suffix for this connection (TCP/IP Advanded Settings). When I put the suffix back in, the free/busy info started working again.
