The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Outlook 2000 - 2 different users using the same PST file

Asked by fenety in Outlook Groupware Software

Hello,

I am having an email problem on a windows 2000 machine that 2 different users have logged into.  1 user(ashley) has been using this computer for a while and her PST file was created on OCT 28/03.  The 2nd user(Rhonda) was having problems with her computer so she used Ashleys computer for 1 day.  When Rhonda logged onto Ashleys computer she logged on with her own username and password.  She used Outlook, and all the account information is set up for her.  She sent and received mail with this account.  When Ashley came back in and logged on and checked her email she noticed that she had received some of rhonda's emails and also some of her emails were read.  Also a folder of hers was deleted.  I checked Rhonda's PST file under her outlook folder in documents and setting\rhonda\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook.  The file was created July 11/05 and was the same size as Ashleys PST file.  When I logged in under rhonda and ran outlook, I see rhonda's and Ashleys email.  I sent a test email to Rhonda's email address and seen if I could receive it when logged on as ashley and I didnt.  I am very confused how this happened, I have never seen it before.  How could ashleys email PST file be modifed when Rhonda logs into her computer?Start Free Trial
