Thanks, I will give this a try.

Browse All TopicsBecause of a new company policy we have to re-image more than 300 computers. That means the hard disk will be completly erased and the new operating system installed. Most computers currently run on Windows 2000, the new image is Windows XP. We want to move the complete Outlook 2000/2003 configuration (.PST files, address books and anything else that might be locally stored and not on the Exchange server) to the new installation (Outlook 2003). That will make it much easier for the users when they start working after re-imaging.
We want to automate as many things as possible. Are there any free tools that might help us in this process? For example it would be great if we could store all the settings and corresponding .PST files with just some clicks or - even better - automatically from the command line?
Thanks in advance!

WillHudson, sorry for the delay. While I was on vacation for some weeks I forgot to close the question.
Currently I'm starting to plan the re-imaging project and until now I didn't run many tests with the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. Unfortunately it is not able to transfer Outlook settings (only Outlook Express settings). But nevertheless this tool will be a great help for transfering many other settings (Office, Acrobat, IE, dialup connections, regional options, network drives and printers, ...).
Thanks for your help!

You can use the Files and Settings Transfer wizard that comes on the Windows XP CD which will help you transfer user settings across to a Windows XP machine.
