I have a work machine that I keep my calender and email on. It is on a network. The network will not allow me to plug in my PDA (dell axim) to the network (administrator policy). I would like to have my calander on my PDA as well as on my travel computer (personal computer).
I have a "work around" that has got me 1/2 way there. need some help with the other half.
I use personal folders with outlook 2003. I have outlook 2003 on my work computer and personal computer. this allows me to keep all my information (including schedule) within this PST file. Then, prior to travel, I can use a USB drive to move the PST file from my work machine to my personal machine. This gives me email/calender/etc on my personal machine.
Problem: On the personal machine, the calender/email/tasks/etc from my PST file are found in "personal folder" (in the data file managmenet this is G:\Personal folders) and I have a seperate main person folders called personal folders (in the C:\documents and setting...this the default). I have all my personal email here that I want to keep seperat from work.
Is there a way to have activesync sync with the G drive personal folder and not the C drive personal
folder (I presume C is the default). I suppose I could save the personal info to a PST, and delete this and make the G the default but I wonder if there is an easier way
Thanks so much
Philip

Hi Philip
Sounds very much like you need a second profile in Outlook (personal & work), once created and pointed at your G:\Personal folders, tweak activesync to use the work profile
If you need instrauctions on how this is done, let me know.
