We have an exhange server at work. I log onto multiple computers through the day as I move from office to office. Some computers have Outlook 2003 and others still have Outlook 2000. I map my .pst file to a network drive so I can see me emails regardless of where I log on and avoid having my exchange server files pile up and shut down my email for capacity limits.
The question...when I attempted to open my network .pst file from an Outlook 2003 machine...I was unable to view the .pst file contents. When I tried to open the .pst file from an Outlook 2000 machine I received an error message saying "this version of Outlook won't open this file".
It appears that the .pst file was "stamped" a 2003 file. Is there a setting in Outlook 2003 that can allow the .pst file management to "emulate" 2000 in order to have cross computer compatability?
I need to be able to use both versions of outlook until we have all our machines updated (which won't happen for another 6 months...enough time to be killed by an errant email lost in this mess).
Thanks for the help!
Eric
