We had two employees book our TM Small Conference room for today at 3pm.
Greg had a recurring meeting scheduled for Mondays at 3pm in the Small Conference Room. He "invited" the TM Small Conference Room rather than reserving it as a resource. This meeting appeared as scheduled on his calendar, but in reality it was not accepted on the TM Small Conference Room's calendar. (Greg has subsequently removed that meeting to reschedule.)
Mary also booked a meeting (nonrecurring) for today (Monday) at 3pm in the Small Conference Room, but she listed the conference room as a Resource, and the calendar accepted even though Greg had already reserved the conference room.
So, Greg did some further testing. He scheduled several meetings with the TM Small Conference room to test the "inviting" as a person, as a "resource", and as a "resource" for a recurring meeting.
Tested inviting the TM Small Conference room as a person on 11/11, 4pm. The TM Small Calendar accepted and it shows on Greg's calendar, but it is not shown on the TM Small Conference calendar.
Testing inviting the TM Small Conference room as a resource on 11/11, 5pm. The TM Small Calendar accepted, and it appears on both Greg's calendar and the TM Small Conference calendar.
Testing inviting the TM Small Conference room as a resource on 11/11, 6pm as a recurring meeting. Outlook would not allow Greg to book the TM Small Conference room as a resource and a recurring meeting. See the screen shot below at the very bottom of the email. This is an issue. No one has the time to book the conference room individually for a recurring meeting nor should they have to.
RESOLUTION:
Please fix the permissions so that the TM Small Conference Room calendar accepts meetings whether "invited" or as a "resource."
Make sure the calendar declines as appropriate.
Fix the permissions so that the TM Small Conference Room calendar will accept recurring appointments when invited as a "resource".
Also, please double check the TM Board Room calendar to make sure these same problems do not exist for it as well.
