Turn-off reminder when I recieve an email

How do I turn-off the reminder pop-up everytime I open the outlook 2000, even I tried to re-install the outlook again and repaired the PST file, also I turned off the reminder option in the option menu.
the reminders I'm getting shows only the title of the emails I recieved for today not my calendar appointments!!
anyone got this problem before and solved it, please help me.

Email Options button
Advanced Email Options
Deselect all items under "When new mail arrives..."

Ok all the way out, close out and restart Outlook...post the results please.

To turn off the reminder popups in Outlook 2000, you can use Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options | Reminder Options.

Did you turn off the Reminder Options under Advanced Options?  Did you restart Outlook after making the change?

Are there any Add-ins installed?

Tools --> Options --> Other --> Advanced --> COM Add-ins

I think that's it going from memory...
