Outlook 2000 Forwarding message causes the original to disappear

Outlook 2000

When I forward a message from my inbox, the original message disappears. A copy does show up in "Sent" mail. I can't find an option that indicates an original message should be deleted when forwarded. This is something new after years of good behavior when forwarding.

Hi laudie,

Right click on your toolbar and enable the advanced toolbar.  
Click the dropdown for views.
Is it set to show only unread messages?  
Change it to Messages

Greetings, laudie !

Check for filters or sorts on your view.
Sound to me like this one is "Sort by Icon" since that's what changes when
you reply or forward a message.
