The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Outlook 2003 Emails getting lost before reaching Exchange Server

Asked by rsifford in Outlook Groupware Software, Exchange Email Server

Tags: , , , ,

We are running Exchange Server 2003 on Windows 2003 Server with SP1. Our clients are using Outlook 2003 with SP2. We have 1 user who is having problems periodically "losing" her emails that she has composed and sent. She creates the email and sends them. However, they do not show up in her sent mail folder and they do not show up in exchange as being sent. She had this happen about a month ago and then all was working fine. Now it is happening again. Yesterday she had called me because she realized that it was happening again and said that some of her emails were in her outbox but were not sending. I confirmed that she was connected to the Exchange server and hitting the send/receive button did not do anything with the emails. Then she told me that the emails that she had lost a month ago showed up in her outbox with the other emails. However, when she closed Outlook and reopened it, they were all gone. I have checked our Exchange server and it shows that nothing was sent from her. The emails seem to be getting lost somewhere between Outlook and Exchange. She also has a Treo 650 phone that she used to sync with her email I am not sure if this is creating the problem or not.  Please help!Start Free Trial
