The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

2 parts: Do not receive emails sent to self and emails marked with follow up option do not go into follow up

Have user in another office with two issues not sure if related or not. He is not computer literate at all with much struggling I manage to talk him thourgh most things and he is paraniod about letting me log on becasue of sensitive information. He is a Senior VP so you have to humor them.

Has XP pro service pack 2, Office 2003 both with full updates, POP3 account Outlook no Exchange.

First issue if he sends an email either To, CC or BCC to himself it he does not receive the email, all other receipients receive and if they reply back he gets it. He does receive other emails sent only to or if he is one of receiepents with no issues.
I checked the blocked senders etc, deleted his nicknames and contacts from himself, clear all temp files etc- deleted and recreated his email account (which completes all test during set up)- my next thing was to create new XP profile and see if it works and just transfer his documents etc over but thought would check with you all first.

Second issues
He used to email himself (with and without other receiepents) and mark the new email with a follow up option. This would put into his "To Follow Up"  folder when he received it. Now it does not show up at all. I tested this on otehr machines here and 50% work 50 % do not. To me it makes sense that it sould work.
I tired TO, CC and BCC fields with same results.  Nothing I did mentioned above has changed this either.  He says that others in his office have no issue with this and until last week either did he.

So you can see why i am not sure if they are related issues or not.

Any Ideas.
