The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Outlook with Exchange 2003 crashes on accessing Public Folders

Asked by BAFP in Outlook Groupware Software, Email Clients, Exchange Email Server

Hi All

I am running Outlook 2003 SP2 with Exchange 2003 SP2.

I have 3 shared calendars from the Public Folder store and 1 shared email folder also in the public folder store.

2 users on my network (total of 60 users) seem to be experiencing problems with their Outlook.

Basically, when i go to Folder view - Public Folders - i can see the 4 folders (1 email & 3 calendars). If i right click on them and add them to my favourites - that works fine.

However if i then try and access the folders from my Favourites then outlook crashes.

If i access the folders from the Public Folders then it all works fine!

Unfortunatley we would like to view all the calendars on once screen - this can only be done via the Favourites folder... and here comes my problem - when i try and access it from here then Outlook crashes i restart outlook and it does the same when i try to access them.

Has anyone come across this problem? Can it be fixed?

As mentioned earlier - all the other users can access this fine - i just have 2 users with this problem. I dont want to just uninstall and re-install as they have lots of custom macros & settings which i would prefer not to have to re-do.

Your views, suggestions and help is much appreciated!
