The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Sharing Calendars in Outlook 2003 & Exchange 2003
Tags: Microsoft, Exchange 2003, 2003, Service Pack 2 & Outlook 2003 SP2
Hi Experts

I have an exchange 2003 server and the clients run Outlook 2003.

All staff use Outlook calendars as their diaries.

Is there a simple way whereby i can set a setting on the server / client pc (if client PC then using some sort of automation eg. Script etc...) whereby i can automatically share it to a pre-defined user e.g. Administrator?

If there is then how do i do this?

As i have many users - automation is the key rather than hopping from one desk to another to do this.

If you need more info please ask!

Thanks in advance for your help.

hi red.

I have followed the instructions step by step and it all seems to work - until the last stage.

I have created a new account called "exchsuperadmin" (temp account) and installed admodify.net.
i have set the user permissions for exchangesuperadmin to full mailbox rights.
i have then assigned exchsuperadmin control using ESM as Admin - view only.
In SetPerm: I select a user & recipient - set the permisions and click the set permissions button in.

This is where i hit a problem - i get a username and password prompt. When i use the exchsuperadmin account username and password it doesnt do anything and prompts me again. However, it seems as if i select the user's password (the one which i am trying to change permissions for) it seems to work fine!

So i seems as though its got something to do with permissions for the new user i am setting up and that the changes i am making using admodify dont seem to stick?

Can you help - please?

Many thanks in adavance for yuor help!

Did you make this exchsuperadmin a domain administrator?

10.09.2007 at 01:05AM PDT, ID: 20039197
No, the account is a member of the domain users group and remote desktop users (as i am running the user on the server that is a secondary domain controller and our exchange server.)

I have just assigned full mailbox rights to the user using admodify.net

Last shot, and I am not that happy with it, but;

You can try it with the domain admin account, once you strip the deny permissions on exchange
