No matter what I do or how many times I try to send/receive the outbox won't empty and send.
Is there a troubleshooting process to go through for this?

Hello Brent:
Also make sure you don't have an email in the Outbox with an attachment that is too big. Is this mailbox attached to an Exchange server or just hooked up to a Pop3 vai your ISP?
Also check that your antivirus isn't blocking things up. I recently had a case where an old installation of Norton Antivirus was completely blocking any outbound mail. I had to uninstall it to free things up.

No norton - just AVG. Never been a problem before. No attachments. I send through an IMAP account through our server.

Is your Outlook working offline by any chance? Lower right corner of the Inbox should tell you whether connected, disconnected or offline.

working online.
Brent, the only way to clear a stuck message in Outbox is how I outlined above. Let me know when you cleared the Outbox.

There may be an email stuck in the Outbox. You need to Create a new PST file.

Then drag all the emails and contacts addresses to the new PST file. Do not copy the Outbox emails over.
