Outlook 2003 - SOME messages get stuck in Outbox

Every once in a while, a message would get stuck in my outbox. It is happening more and more frequently now. Doesn't seem to be related to recipient / domain. The stuck messages have a date listed as none. I have to go into my outbox, reopen the email, resend, and then it works. Any ideas why this is happening?
