Browse All TopicsI am using Microsoft Outlook 2000 and have recently added an IMAP email account. In Outlook it appears that the default once an item is deleted is to show that item with a strikethrough line going through it (until it is purged from the IMAP folder).
However I don't want to purge these items, and I want them to be hidden so that if they are marked for deletion I will not see them any more.
I used the view that was provided, but somehow messed it up. How do I recreate the view, or otherwise set Outlook up to hide messages marked for deletion?
Don't tell me to purge the messages. That's not what I want to do.

Hello mhunts,
e " /cleanviews
Use a command line to clear the view and then try setting up the correct view. To use switches, at the Start menu, Run command type:
Outlook /cleanviews
Occasionally you'll need to use the full path to Outlook, so the command line looks like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.ex
Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation marks (") and are case sensitive.
Hope this helps!
