Or maybe try the /firstrun switch if the above doesn't work. Sometimes helps for weird errors in Outlook.

Browse All TopicsOutlook 2003 has started having errors in displaying the shortcuts on the Navigation Pane that is found on the left side of the screen. Mixed types of shortcuts are being displayed together - Calendar items, Notes, and Contact folders are all being shown on the Contacts Navigation Pane. (see the attached screenshots). I am using Outlook 2003 with a .pst file and am not connected to an Exchage Server. Any ideas how to get the Navigation Pane back to displaying only one type of Outlook folder? (only Contact folders on the Contacts Navigation pane, only Notes folders on the Notes Navigation Pane, etc.). Thanks!

I tried both switches with no luck. However, after next reboot, the problem was solved. I recommend a reboot after each switch. Not sure which switch did the trick, so I split the points.
Not sure if this is related, but the next time I synced my Palm Pilot after the switches above, it detected a new Profile and had to completely resync the Palm. May or may not be related.

Hello narley,
e " /cleanviews
Run the command line to reset the views. At the Start menu, Run command type:
Outlook /cleanviews
Occasionally you'll need to use the full path to Outlook, so the command line looks like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.ex
Hope this helps!
