They kept insisting that it's not their problem. I finally changed my password and it kept messages from disappearing. I told them that this password must have become compromised on their end since no one has access to my passwords.
Outlook is still unable to leave copies on their server. They say it's a Microsoft issue, but my Outlook settings work fine with my Yahoo e-mail account. So I don't know where the problem lies.
For now I'm forwarding everything to my yahoo account, which I was trying to avoid because I get all my messages to that account in duplicate.
I've always had good experience with their customer service, except for this issue.
