Create shortcut to specific outlook email/item

Hello experts,

I use an external productivity application and would like to be able to link to specific emails in my outlook email folders from that application.

I'm wondering if it is somehow possible to create a link or a command line that allows to open a specific outlook item.
(I've seen it done in several desktop search applications, like Google Desktop)
