The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Autocomplete with Alzheimers part II

Asked by Philonator in Outlook Groupware Software, Windows XP Operating System, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

Sorry for the title but, there was a simalar case by that title on EE that didn't have an acceptable solution.  The problem is that the users autocomplete in outlook will work for the session.  Once outlook is closed the names will not save.

Specs:
One week old from Dell
xp sp2 + all required win updates, bios& drivers from dell
office 2007 all office updates applied

Solutions tried so far:
-the nk2 file is not saving in the profile, I am very familar with nk2 files
-if I create a new user on the computer, set up email, it will write correctly to an nk2 file.  Unfortunatley this is not an acceptable solution.
-the path of the file was set up using the name associate first, then I change the name to the client when I got that information.  So the profile name is the clients name everywhere, in the control panel, profiles under my computer, and in the mmc window under users.  The document and settings profile name was still associate.  I changed that name through the registry to client and still was not able to save the nk2 file (thought that it just couldn't write to the profile because the path was wrong.)
-the box in outlook options is checked to allow it to save.  I toggled this on and off to make sure it was working properly
-office repair didn't helpStart Free Trial
