The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Appointment Creator loses Tracking Tab after he adds a DL of which he is a member

Asked by Sage001 in Outlook Groupware Software, Exchange Email Server

Tags: , , ,

Hi Experts, we are a mid-sized company running Exchange on a Microsoft Server 2003. We have mostly XP Workstation PC's and a Handful of Laptop users. One of our Laptop Users has identified a strange Problem in Outlook 2003 SP3.

This User creates an empty appointment by double clicking in the Calender View on a certain time, enters a Subject and Location, then Saves and Closes. After finding out who must attend the meeting he will then double click on the empty appointment and use the Invite Attendees Button to add a Distribution List of which he is a member. Then he hits Send.

Strangely he can accept his own Invitation, which he does. When he then opens the Appointment he does not have a Tracking Tab, as if he wasn't the Creator / Inititator of this Event. He can still change other settings on the Appointment and Scheduling Tab's.

I have tried to recreate this, under the same circumstances (Being a member of a DL) but I get this message "As the Meeting Organizer you don not need to respond to this meeting".

Why doesn't it recognize this for the particular User? It also doesn't matter which DL he is a member of. I am fearing that this has something to do with his profile.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in Advance.
