I notice that my Outbox has a number of messages that did not go out. I try moving them from the Outbox to a temporary folder, opening them one at a time, and attempting to send. No success.
A tech support person suggested I try deleting my Outlook user account, then recreating it. That works every time -- all the message go out smoothly once I have created a new account IDENTICAL to the previous one.
What could be causing the account to continually become corrupt? What can I do so I don't have to continually go through this annoying process?

If you change smtp settings and it works, we know it is a smtp issue. Easy way to troubleshoot the problem with out making bigger changes to outlook.
To see if its an Outlook problem set up another email account on outlook express using the same outgoing server if it sends from express at the same time as you are having the error in outlook we know its outlook specific.
