Utility to add notes to emails

I'd like to be able to add a note(s) to an email. Often I think to myself, "OK. I can delete this email but I've got to remember __________ about it."

If I could attach a note to the email I could easily do that!

I have found one utility to do this at http://www.totalidea.com/product.php?Product=OutNote but I haven't downloaded it because I think the price is too much for the Pro version.

Anyone know of a free or cheaper product?
