Outlook stoped connecting with outgoing and incoming mail server, Internet access works fine

Both, Internet and Outlook were working fine, somehow, now Outlook tells me it cannot connect to the incoming or outgoing mail servers, and it gives me those error messages very fast, as if it had not even tried.
The only software that I installed recently, but worked fine at least in my home, was MS Live Messanger, the problems sort of coincide, therefore I uninstalled it, but no luck. I am desperate.. Any help is most welcome. The IT guy in my office already dis ipconfig, ping, etc. Created a new Outlook profile and such.
