I don't think was clear on my first post. I would like to move the sent item automatically everytime he sends an email.

Browse All TopicsMy boss would like to move his sent items to a .pst on his hard drive. I found some samples of moving items but I don't know how to execute the macro. We're using Outlook 2007. Thanks for any help you can provide.

hi there, this can be done on the ruels wizard on outlook.
on this guys outlook client open the rules wizard, then create a new rule.
select "when mail is sent" click next
select "on this machine only" click next
select "move a copy to selected folder" browse to the PST/subfolder you want this to be moved to
select any exeptions
now ANY mail he sends will have a copy also placed in this selected container

File -> Import and Export -> Export to a file -> Perfonal Folder File (.pst) -> *select* Sent Items ->
The rest should be pretty self explanatory, just choose a location for where to save the .pst file.
