Task Bar freezing

Hi,

We have a problem with one user whereby after opening an email in a new window he cannot maximize any apps from the task bar. When he hovers over them they do not highlight. Using Alt-Tab still works. No programs have hung so when you switch to them they will respond.

So far we have tried;

Using a different machine
Creating a new user profile
Repairing Office
Running Outlook using various switches e.g. /Clean Profile
Creating a new Outlook profile
Latest service packs/updates

We are running XP SP2, Outlook 2003 on the desktop and Exchange 2003.

Is there a limit/issue with the number of sub folders underneath the inbox as this user has 96 sub folders. The users mailbox isn't the largest that we have, 2.5gb with 33,000 items.

Any help would be appreciated.
