The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

[Outlook]  Need to Reinstall / How to Save Outlook Shortcuts

Asked by CE101 in Outlook Groupware Software

Applications:  Outlook 2002 (10.2627.2625), MS Office XP SP3
O/S:              Windows 2000 Professional, SPK 4

This is a followup to an earlier question
[Outlook]  Program Crashing / Folder Permissions
    http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Office_Productivity/Groupware/Outlook/Q_23770517.html

In brief, Outlook has been crashing several times a day.
In troubleshooting this problem I have tried several things (as described in the earlier posting), to no avail.

I guess it's time to reinstall Outlook. I am not looking forward to this because I assume I will still need to do the following...
(1) Recreate the User Profile and all the things that go with it
(2) Recreate all my Outlook shortcuts (and I've got over 100 of them)

I said  I "assume" that I have to do the above, but I am not really sure.
If I reinstall Outlook will I have to recreate my User Profile and Outlook shortcuts?
Recreating the User Profile would not be a lot of work, but recreating the shortcuts would be.
Is there any way to save these things?

In my earlier troubleshooting attempts, one of the things I did was create a new profile.
As it turns out the new profile was missing all of my Outlook Shortcuts.
After further experimentation I found that even when the profile is copied (cloned) that the new cloned profile will be missing the original Outlook Shortcuts

QUESTION:
(1) Where are the Outlook Shortcuts stored?
(2) Can Shortcuts be copied from one profile to another?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
