Why do my Outlook 2007 contacts disappear?

Hello,

I had a user send me the following error while using Outlook 2007:

"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:  RE: JMB/Camarillo              SO# 1474204     (PO# P5903)

      Sent:     12/11/2008 5:23 PM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

'Waterman, Daniel O. (Dan)' on 12/11/2008 5:23 PM

554 5.7.1 <dsl092-056-098.lax1.dsl.speakeasy.net[66.92.56.98]>: Client host rejected: Check your mail first"

Here's some additional info from the user as to what he's doing when he receives this error:

"On this occasion, I was replying to the vendor using his e-mail. On other occasions I have selected from my contact list whom I am sending to, once I enter send I get this message. In addition, when
I try to send again I find the contacts I wanted to send to have disappeared from my contacts list."

He's running Outlook 2007. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jambear

Thanks apache09 for your response. Here's what I found online.

"Make sure the 'Show this folder as an email address book' is ticked under the public folder contacts. (Right click properties on the public contacts, select properties, and click the 'outlook address book tab')"

I will have them try your suggestion also and let you know what happens.

I had to apply this also. "Make sure the 'Show this folder as an email address book' is ticked under the public folder contacts. (Right click properties on the public contacts, select properties, and click the 'outlook address book tab')"
