MS Outlook 2007 Recurring Task with Reminder

Hi all,

I have created recurring task in MS Outlook 2007.

The task is set to repeat every Wednesday and Friday. I also set up a reminder to go off at 4:30pm on the day that it is due.

On the first day it is due the reminder pops up at 4:30pm to remind me to do the task.

I then snooze it for 15 minutes. It pops up again. This time I hit dismiss.

Then when I look at my task list the next task has been generated correctly, but there is no reminder set for that task.

How can I get the reminder to repeat as well???

The reminder should reoccur as well.

Check that when you are initially setting up the recurring task, that the reminder is set at this time as well, before saving it.
Also, try to give it some type of end date as opposed to No End Date

And Check that you have the latest SP installed

On further testing...

The reminder will repeat only if I set the task as complete.

If I dismiss the task the reminder will not repeat.

Any ideas as to why this is?? Is this just MS been a pain in the backside??

Is there anyway to get the reminder to repeat when I dismiss a task.

I don't want to have to open the task and mark it complete.

I only want to use the reminders as quick visual to jog my memory and then one click to get rid of them.

I don't want them distracting me too much from what I'm doing.

Are there any settings I can tweak?? Or an add on that will achieve this??

If you dismiss a task you also dismiss the reminder.
