I have two email addressses on my exchange (2007) mailbox, and would like emails addressed to one of these email addresses to go to a specific folder. These email addresses are setup as SMTP addresses in exchange
For example
joe@company.com will go to my inbox as normal
joe2@company.com will go to a folder called 'to joe2'
is there a way to do it in this fashion? I've already tried to create a rule in outlook that looks at the 'recipient name' as joe2, but the recipient name for messages sent to both addresses is 'Joe Shmoe'

You have to use a rule that looks at the headers.
So it will be something like "sent to user@domain". The wizard should give you that option when you are creating the rule.
Alas it will not fire for messages where you are BCC'd, because the routing information has been stripped by the time it arrives in the mailbox.

I have tried this and it does not work. The 'recipients address' seems to be 'Joe Shmoe' no matter what email address the mail is sent to.
(currently testing Mestha's suggestion, very large mailbox may take 5-10 minutes)
