Thanks for the reply,
I believe /cleanprofile does not wipe out or delete outlook profile?

Browse All TopicsI have one user whose contacts first name and last swapped automatically means first name become last name and vice versa. He hasn't imported any contacts and he is using his contacts more than one year. This changed happened in last 2 days he noticed only couple of hundreds contacts affected. Now when he trying to enter a new contact in address book "Full name" field e.g. "John Smith" by clicking on "Full name" button the last name=John and first name=Smith.
Details:
Outlook 2007 SP1
Tools -->Account setting --> Address Book, File as (Smith John)
Tools --> Options --> Contact Options, Default "Full Name" Order: First (Middle) Last
Default "File As" Order: Last, First
Its alarming situation for us the contact full name swapping first name to last name. The user is one of senior management and has thousands of contacts.
Please help, thanks

First thing I would so is Upgrade him to SP2: ownloads/d etails.asp x? FamilyID =b444bf18- 79ea-46c6- 8a81-9db49 b4ab6e5&di splaylang= en
http://www.microsoft.com/d
There are a lot of fixes in SP2 that address many irritating thing about Outlook 2007.
Then would close Outlook and Reopen Using
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanprofile
And if he does not have many, or any custom views setup, close and reopen using
Start>Run>Outlook.exe /cleanviews
(*This will clear and regenerate Outlooks default Views)
